Sounds like an unusual mix? It is. The ambiance is a direct result of the menu concept - a seemingly odd combination of sushi and rustic Southwestern cuisine. TakoSushi is a "feel good" kind of place that attracts people of all ages and walks of life.

WJBF News Channel 6 is excited to be a part of a community that has so many positive attributes that enrich all our lives. Along with our partners Augusta Regional Airport, Blanchard and Calhoun, First Bank, University Health Care Foundation, and Windsor Jewelers we are proud to present Embracing the Vision.
This campaign began in October 2006. Since that time, our partners have sent out inspiring messages of extraordinary success and a promising vision. As 2007 unfolds, WJBF News Channel 6 will be highlighting more visionary messages from our leaders in the business world. Our station will also be putting together a 30-minute program compiling our successes and looking ahead to the growth our community has on the horizon.
This campaign is not only to remind people who live in Augusta and the CSRA of the tremendous quality of life we are so fortunate to enjoy, but also to tell our story to those outside of Augusta who may consider relocation to our visiting our area. To do this, WJBF News Channel 6 and our partners, in conjunction with AIP publishing, will be compiling a 300 page, hard-bound coffee table book that will celebrate our strengths as a community and display our vision for the future. This coffee table book, "Embracing the Vision - Augusta, Aiken, North Augusta and the CSRA," will be our vessel to the world. Not just a keepsake or gift, but to be used heavily by area Chambers of Commerce, development authorities, large corporations, our partners and other area business to recruit new business and industry to our are by reflecting on our past, present and future endeavors and by telling our story of success. The lead writer is Augusta native Shannon Friedmann Hatch of Southern Progress’ Cottage Living magazine.
"Embracing the Vision - Augusta, Aiken, North Augusta and the CSRA" is slated to go on sale in the Fall of 2007. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the book will go to the United Way of the CSRA and the United Way of Aiken.
