Cirque du Soleil is back in Columbus with its latest touring production Corteo, opening May 11, 2007 under the Blue and Yellow Grand Chapiteau at the Ohio Exp Center & State Fair.

Corteo is a grand procession, a festive parade imagined by a clown. The clown pictures his own funeral taking place in a carnival atmosphere, watched over by quietly caring angels.

Corteo, which means "cortege" in Italian, combines the craft of the actor with the prowess of the acrobat to plunge the audience into a world of playfulness and spontaneity situated in a mysterious area between Heaven and Earth.
